Menopause Management

As most women approach menopause, they begin to experience a series of so-called vasomotor symptoms. The most common are hot flashes, a sudden warmth that spreads to the upper body, often accompanied by redness and sweating. These outbreaks range from mild in most women to harsh in others. Here are some of the lifestyle changes we need to do:-
If you have hot flashes, drink cold water and sit or sleep next to a fan and wear layers of clothing.
For dryness, use a vaginal moisturizer or lubricant that can be purchased at a pharmacy.
Get a good night’s sleep through regular exercise and prevent diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
Strengthen your pelvic floor muscles with Kegel exercises to prevent bladder leaks.
Maintain social and mental activity to prevent memory problems.
Do not smoke. Tobacco can cause premature menopause and increase hot flashes.
Limit alcohol intake to reduce breast cancer risk and improve sleep.
Eat a variety of foods to help manage hot flashes and maintain a healthy weight. We will help you to choose your diet wisely which will decrease the symptoms Practice something like yoga, deep breathing, or massage to help you relax.
